Job Description
Synopsis The Quality and Compliance Officer ensures that EAS operations are consistent, comply, and conform to applicable aviation & OSH regulations, IATA, Etihad Airport Service standards, and customer airlines’ requirements. This role involves monitoring and reporting on the performance of the quality assurance system and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure its proper functioning.

Quality Assurance Implementation | Implement and monitor quality assurance and control processes to ensure compliance with safety, security regulations, and standards. Enable continual improvement. | |
SOP Management | Create, update, and review SOPs as required. Implement document controls and maintain records in collaboration with relevant operations management. | |
Audit Coordination | Coordinate and assist with external audits by IATA, customer airlines, and others. Facilitate regulatory inspections by GCAA, DoT, TSA, UK DfT, etc. Prepare audit responses as required. | |
Internal Audits | Conduct internal audits and inspections. Ensure closure of audit action items, non-conformities, and non-compliances as per quality requirements. | |
Reporting | Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends including audit findings, process failures, corrective actions, and re-validations. | |
Issue Escalation | Report and escalate significant process failures, non-compliance, and deficiencies. Advise on and implement changes to achieve safety and quality standards. | |
Incident Reporting | Ensure all quality, safety, and security occurrences, errors, hazards, and near misses are reported. Assess and mitigate hazards and risks. | |
Program Review | Assist in reviewing the annual Quality Program. Perform other duties as determined by the line manager. |

Requirement | Details | |
Qualification | Qualification in audit or compliance and documentation. | |
Experience | 7 years in airport or airline operations with a good understanding of ground and cargo operations. | |
Knowledge | Comprehensive understanding of IATA’s ISAGO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), safety management, quality assurance, the IATA Ground Operations Manual (IGOM), and local civil aviation regulations. | |
Certification | Holding a DG Cat 6 certificate is an added advantage. |
