Key Responsibilities |
Tariff Management: Support the Commercial team by preparing and maintaining optimum tariffs in the local market to help achieve the company’s commercial objectives. |
Market Analysis and Proposal Creation: Monitor market trends and competitor activity to create business-case proposals that optimize Emirates’ performance in Hungary. |
Fare and Conditions Management: Execute fare and fare conditions publishing on emirates.com as required. Ensure correct fare filings in all distribution systems and perform quality control analyses to guarantee accurate fares are being sold. |
Database Management: Maintain local databases detailing fare distribution by agency (PCC/OID) to ensure streamlined operations and accuracy. |
Communication of Pricing and Rule Changes: Ensure timely and accurate communication of all pricing and rule changes to both internal and external stakeholders (such as travel trade partners), along with marketing or tactical sales initiatives. |
Promotional Activities: Set up promotional codes and landing pages on emirates.com as per Head Office (HO) approval guidelines, and support tactical sale planning, including fare calculations and terms and conditions (T&Cs). |
Reporting and Data Analysis: Produce weekly and monthly reports and create new reports as required. Provide market research statistics and benchmarking on competitor fares, special offers, rules, fare development, and market share. |
Tactical Fare Initiatives: Make recommendations for tactical fare initiatives and support sales planning efforts by analyzing fare structures and market needs. |
Fare Proposals and Coordination: Prepare fare proposals as required and coordinate all relevant administration between Emirates HQ and Hungary using all available tools, including Airfare and Infare. |
Travel Trade Partner Management: Handle incentives related to travel trade partners in line with company requirements. |
Compliance: Ensure all activities and documentation comply with Company Commercial Procedures. |
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Advanced level of education or equivalent experience. |
Experience: Previous experience in an airline sales environment or a similar commercial role is essential, with a background in the airline/travel industry pricing being a strong advantage. |
Industry Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of tariffs, rules, and ticketing, along with a good understanding of fare construction, refunds, and pro rates. Experience with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) is a must. |
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, to analyze data, generate reports, and create effective visual presentations. |
Language Skills: Fluency in both written and spoken English and Hungarian. |
Commercial Acumen: A solid understanding of the internet, e-commerce, direct sales, and marketing. Proven ability to analyze data and prepare analytical reports on market share and trends. |
