Deliver configured machines to users, connect to the network, and ensure user satisfaction.
– Respond with urgency to problems and requests from the Service Desk for user support.
– Respond to requests for equipment set up for meetings and presentations.
– Participate in country projects with an IS element as and when required.

– Support all field deployed IT equipment within UAE department.
Maintain all services and hardware at agreed operational performance levels.
– Set up personal computers for both hardware and authorized software.
– Ensure the functionality and accessibility of all shared peripherals such as printers, plotters, scanners, etc.
– Provide basic training to users to utilize PCs or operations equipment and avoid future problems.
– Plan, deploy and commission new servers/workstations, including installation of relevant OS and software.
– Plan and deploy software while maintaining asset management, security policies, and agreed standard operating environment.
– Provide server and other equipment set-up support to Abu Dhabi & Dubai South area projects with an IT element.
– Resolve problems through personal action or by organizing resolution through the ITSC Helpdesk or a third-party vendor.
– Ensure all personal computers have DHL Standard OS installed, the latest antivirus software, and timely installation of all automatic updates.
Qualifications and Experience
5 years experience in a technical support role.– Degree in Information Services/Business (or equivalent).
– Communication skills in English (both spoken and written), other languages an advantage.– Technical expertise in:
Personal computer set up and preparation for use (both hardware and software).1st Level hardware and software troubleshooting.
Server set up and preparation for use (hardware and software).IBM/Intel compatible PC hardware configurations.
Windows 10/11 operating systems.Support of standard desktop applications such as
Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Visio, etc.TCP/IP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, AD.
Zebra Scanners, Network Printers.Internet technologies.
